Nainital Pravasi - Day 4
Eco Cave Garden and Naina Devi Temple

Under the series Nainital Pravasi, we started our Pravas of famous tourist places in Nainital. You must have read the blog about the last three days of wandering which included camping, horse riding, water activities, rappelling, boating, and visits to many familiar and unfamiliar lakes. In this blog, we will visit the Eco Cave Garden, a group of natural rock caves in Nainital, and the Naina Devi Temple, one of the 51 Shaktipeeths of India.

Eco Cave Garden of Nainital is an excellent example of the combined efforts of Nature and Humans. A group of natural rock caves has been converted into a garden. Due to its proximity to Nainital city, this place is becoming very popular nowadays.

The garden offers a magnificent view of six caves formed in the shape of animals. Tiger Cave, Panther Cave, Porcupine Cave, Bats Cave, Flying Fox Cave, and Appes Cave are the names of caves here.

Lamps placed inside the caves, audio effects, efforts to preserve the authenticity of the cave, and the cool air add to the beauty of the place. Do not miss this place if you are planning to visit Nainital.

Situated on the banks of Nainital Lake is the Naina Devi Temple, a famous pilgrimage site and one of the 51 Shaktipeeths of India. Lord Hanuman comes first when we get into the temple premises and blesses us.

Apart from the main temple, many other temples can be seen here. Due to the mythological importance of this temple, people have great faith in the goddess.

After a happy end of four days of Nainital Pravas, we started our way back. The Pravas was beautiful but made even more so by the people we accompanied. Special mention goes to the people who looked after our facilities at the campsite and the couple who accompanied us during this Pravas, Saugandh and Deblina.
